Get Your Game On!

Lights Out

D.C.'s last preseason game lit up the stadium in Vegas Sunday, as the Black-and-Red defeated new USL team the Las Vegas Lights FC by a 4-2 margin.

United's goals came from Asad, Mattocks, Acosta and Harkes, while Arriola produced three assists in an impressive performance.

Also notable was the Lights debut of former D.C. United player Freddy Adu, who is on trial with Vegas. We wish him well!

Let's Get This Party Started

The MLS 2018 season has arrived!

This week, D.C. heads back to Florida to take on Orlando in Saturday's season-opener. Is OCSC still distracted from having lost Cyle Larin to Besiktas last month? Will the suspensions of Coach Ben Olsen and MF Lucho Acosta for this first match impact United's play? Find out!

All are welcome to attend United's official watch party this weekend, just a few blocks from Navy Yard Metro and Audi Field:

DC SCORES Spotlight

In their most recent quarterly newsletter, our nonprofit partner DC SCORES profiled one of our very own!

SE member Laurie Gonzalez is in her second year as a volunteer soccer coach at Jefferson Middle School, and she notes that:

"One of the biggest surprises has been how much my involvement with DC SCORES has enhanced my own life. Not only do I love the time I spend with my players, but it’s opened up a number of other doors for me to get involved with the community."

Do you want to get involved with DC SCORES? Volunteer as a referee, an assistant coach, or at one of their seasonal events. It's easy!

While we're on the subject, it's not too late to vote for DC SCORES as best nonprofit in the Washington City Paper's contest. Polls are open until March 4th!
