Columbus Contest

United's away trip to Columbus did not go as well as some had hoped - the Black-and-Red gave up three first-half goals and lost by a 3-1 margin. D.C.'s lone goal also came in the first half, as a shot from Yamil Asad found the back of the net in the 30th minute.

The game was not without controversy, as a hard foul from Crew defender Lalas Abukabar on Luciano Acosta went unnoticed by the referee, leading to Columbus's third goal.

Despite the scoreline, there was a notable bright spot in the form of Chris Durkin, who as expected, made his first MLS start over the weekend. Chris Odoi-Atsem also saw some playing time Saturday, his first of the season.

If you're interested in catching some away games this season, there are plenty on offer: have a look!

Penalty Kick Party

The D.C. United Youth Academy U17 team had a big game last night, competing in the MLS 2018 Generation Adidas Cup Showcase against Eintracht Frankfurt.

After a hard-fought 0-0 battle, the game went to penalty kicks. Goalkeeper Dane Jacomen came up huge, saving two Eintracht attempts and helping to secure a 3-2 victory for the Black-and-Red. We're excited to see what this team can do!

Kickin' it in K.C.

Next up on the first team's schedule: Sporting KC. United takes on the Sporks Saturday evening. Last weekend Kansas City went down early, but rallied to earn a point against the Colorado Rapids.

With a 2-1-1 record, SKC currently sits atop the standings in the Western Conference. Can United knock them down a peg? Come watch with us and find out!
