DC SCORES and More
Wow! What a wonderful night it was for DC SCORES' One Night One Goal gala! So many memorable highlights from the evening to benefit our favorite charity.
Loved seeing the kids enjoying time with D.C. United players as much as the supporters, the behind-the-scenes tour of Audi Field and, of course, the performances under the lights by the awesome poet-athletes themselves.
Check out a few pictures we snapped during the extravaganza and if you have any you would like to share, please pass them along!
Ben Olsen brought the house down with a surprise addition of one of his USMNT jerseys from the 2006 World Cup in Germany and a promise to provide a matching gift that soon started a bidding war during the live auction.
The kicker is that he had a second jersey in his closet, so both the high bidders ended up winners! Every dollar raised truly counts, as there is a long waiting list of schools in town wanting to participate in DC SCORES programming.

The biggest event of the season for DC SCORES is coming next Saturday and all are invited to help out at Fall Frenzy!

You can assist by running an activity booth, refereeing a match, taking photos or video at the fields, and more! The bonus is that you can jump right into this community service opportunity and still make the FC Dallas match in the evening.
In the News
We were thrilled to make it possible for kids from the neighborhood to join DC SCORES for the RBNY rivalry rumble in the Aerie (Section 138). Thanks to David Rusk for organizing this outing, but we are not done yet!
During the construction of Audi Field, the residents of Syphax Gardens and James Creek expressed a need for more trees to block the dust bedeviling their communities.
Working with Tommy Lawrence from the Earth Conservation Corps' and Rhonda Hamilton, the local ANC commissioner, Black and Red volunteers will be planting trees just North of the stadium to help mitigate some of these issues.

Upon completion of this community service project, we will be hosting an event where fans can interact with D.C. United's CEO and co-owner. Join us!

Fall is in the air and that means that more items are being added to the SE gear sale at the tailgates.
Planning to bring friends with you Sunday for our morning tailgate ahead of the match? Have them get one-day memberships here.
But you probably can persuade them to become full members if they plan on coming back for more games and the playoffs, right?!! After all, it comes with plenty of benefits (including that snazzy jersey)!
Care to volunteer? Just email email@example.com.
Have Audi Field seating questions? Ask our awesome Ticketmistress at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All are Welcome!
