Screaming Eagles News & Events
The stars have aligned! Sunday afternoon saw United leave a wet and windy Chicago pitch with a point, having drawn 0-0 with the Fire.
With a total of 51 points, United needed NYCFC to take out their previous week's frustration on the Philadelphia Union. The boys in blue kindly obliged, leaving us in 4th place. Columbus then crushed Minnesota, earning themselves 5th place and a visit to Audi Field this week!
The Crew have been saved, and we're happy about that, but now? The gloves are coming off. The Black-and-Red have a 12-1-2 record at Audi Field, and they're not done yet.

Thanks to all those who came out to Sunday's watch party at Across the Pond to cheer on United as they battled Chicago. Pics from the event are now up on our photo gallery.
Smiles would have been even wider had the team scored a goal or two, but we'll take the draw and run with it back to Buzzard Point!
You can join us again this Thursday ahead of United's home playoff match for our tailgate. We'll be at our usual spot:
SE Tailgate @ the Matthew Henson Center
Earth Conservation Corps
2000 Half Street SW DC
5:30 - 7:30-ish
We won't begin serving until 5:30pm, but if you are able to show up early, you are more than welcome to pitch in to help set up, or just enjoy the back deck by the river!
You can also catch us after the match at All-Purpose Pizza: Capitol Riverfront!

The regular season is over, so that means it's time to get your friends to join the club for all the playoff excitement and our post-season activities like the upcoming Winery Roadtrip!
Anyone who signs up at this late date for a 2018 SE membership will have it roll over automatically for next season as well, while still enjoying all our benefits.
DC SCORES and More
We have had a blast hosting hundreds of DC SCORES poet-athletes and the volunteers who work with them at Audi Field this season in the Aerie (Section 138).
But there are other ways to support our favorite charity as well!
You can shop till you drop using this link from now to November 2nd and Amazon will donate a whopping 5% to DC SCORES (that's ten times the usual amount)!
Or how about lacing up your boots and getting your team together for the 2018 Columbia Heights Cup?
In the News
In case you missed the news, defender Kofi Opare is out for the season, having had surgery to repair a tendon in his foot.
Opare is expected to miss 4-5 months of training, but we look forward to seeing him back on the pitch next season! Hey, a delayed return worked for Canouse...

Big Rob still needs our help!
His Go Fund Me is working its way down the pitch, but Rob is about $1,600 short of the amount he needs for medical and living expenses as he battles leukemia.
If you haven't yet donated to this legendary United supporter, or if you have but can spare a little more, please pitch in!
