Playoffs, Here We Come!
Screaming Eagles News & Events
Pinch yourself - it's not a dream! With one game still left to play in the regular season, the Black-and-Red have qualified for the playoffs!
United put in a dominant performance over NYCFC on Saturday. Captain Wayne Rooney scored his 12th goal in just 19 matches, and Luciano Acosta became the first United player since Jaime Moreno in 2008 to tally at least ten goals and ten assists in a regular season. Browse our photos of this weekend's game in this season's new gallery.
After the match, SE celebrations continued at our new post-game spot, All-Purpose Pizza: Capitol Riverfront! In the event that United wins away against Chicago this weekend and earns a home playoff match, All are Welcome to join us at AP after the game.

Fancy a glass of wine? While we've been cheering and celebrating at Audi Field, our King of the Road has also been busy planning our next trip. Thanks, Jimi!
We'll be taking a bus to several local wineries. Which ones? You tell us! Please take our survey and tell us where you'd like to go wine tasting - we'll use your answers to plan the outing this fall!

Our friends at DC SCORES are having their first DC Youth Open Mic this Thursday at Busboys and Poets! This event, hosted by Charity Blackwell, will feature the Our Words Our City Slam Team, and we promise you don't want to miss out.

Gail Rongen, wife of former United coach Thomas Rongen, has found a kidney donor! Transplant surgery is currently scheduled for mid-December. If you are interested in signing up to be a kidney donor, you can learn more at kidney.org.
In the News
It's been a month full of highs and lows for the Black-and-Red. Paul Arriola's emotional return to the District following the death of his father came shortly on the heels of teammate Chris Odoi-Atsem's announcement that he has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Another member of the Black-and-Red family, Big Rob, still needs our help! His Go Fund Me is about $3K short of the amount he needs for medical and living expenses as Rob battles leukemia. If you haven't yet donated to this legendary United supporter, or if you have but can spare a bit more, please pitch in!
We're already making plans for playoff game tailgates, so stay tuned! In the meantime, catch us at Across the Pond Sunday for the Chicago match, or purchase tickets for the match here.
